Education Qualification: The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a government or private higher secondary school/ college/ university students.
Application Process: The scheme is implemented through National Scholarship Portal (NSP). It is mandatory for all students to apply online on the website of this Ministry i.e. www.scholarships.gov.in.

Eligibility and Criteria for Post-Matric Scholarship Online Application Form 2017 (Post-Matric Scholarship)

Education Qualification: The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a government or private higher secondary school/ college/ university students.

Family Income Limits: Family annual income of whose parents/ guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh.

Eligibility: Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.

Scholarship Prize:
1) Admission and tuition fee for classes XI and XII- Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.7,000 p.a.
2) Admission and course/ tuition fee for technical and vocational courses of XI and XII level- Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.10,000 p.a.
3) Admission and tuition fee for under-graduate, post graduate- Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.3,000 p.a.
4) Maintenance allowance for 10 months only in an academic year-
i) Classes XI and XII including technical and vocational courses of this level- Rs.380 p.m.
ii) Courses other than technical and professional courses at under-graduate and post graduate level- Rs.570 p.m.
iii) M.Phil and Ph.D.- Rs.1200 p.m.

Selection Process: Unlike scholarship for SC and ST, there are a fixed number of scholarships for minorities is small and limited. Students from BPL families, having the lowest income shall be given preference in the ascending order.

Documents required for online application:
1. Student Photo.
2. Institution Verification Form.
3. Self declaration of Income Certificate by the student.
4. Self declaration of community by the student.
5. In case of Fresh: Self Attested Certificate of ‘Previous Academic Mark sheet’ as filled in Form.
6. In case of Renewal: Self-Attested Certificate of Previous Year Marksheet as filled in the Form.
7. Fee Receipt of current course year.
8. Proof of Bank Account in the name of student.
9. Aadhaar Card.
10. Residential Certificate.
